Environment Sustainable Timber Structures

Environment Sustainablity is not a simple frase, it contains not only the durablity of selected materials but has a much wider impact on the global Eco system.
The production of building materials, all have different impacts and concequenses to the environment. Much higly durable building materials will generate so much polution during manufacturing that nevertheless their life time, they will infect the natural Eco system in a negative way anyhow. Other materials will poison the Eco system when they are demolished after the economic life time, when they come into the Eco system as waste.

Wood as a natural raw material is an environmental responsible choice, when supplied by Certified Forestry. The full forest management guaranties the replant of young trees as well as maintanance of the forestry area, but.... we can do better!  Asian Cottages aimes for the use of "Waste Wood" as left over from Agricultural plantations like Coconut Wood (ASCO-Timber) and Rubberwood as waste after the economic life circle of the trees.

Our structures will be build from mostly "Post Agricultural Wood" at this very moment the use of waste wood is about 75% of the total volume. For this Ecological Rediscovered wood we do not have to log forest trees.
The other 25% comes from Certified Forestry Areas.

In this way, we contribute to decreasing tropical forest logging by providing an Ecological and Environmental Sustainable alternative.
